What would Beyonce Do?

What would Beyonce Do?

“Bold, brash, beautiful and comedy’s newest diva” The Independent
Fresh and utterly original newcomer comedian Luisa Omielan, was the smash hit of the Edinburgh Free Fringe Festival and Shoreditch Comedy Café run this year, with her show ‘What Would Beyoncé Do?!’ The hugely popular sell-out shows in Edinburgh and East London saw up to 50 people a night turned away, so now she is bringing the critically-acclaimed performance to the Soho Theatre this January.
Luisa, who once speed-dated in a wedding dress, has fallen in love with every Mr Unavailable she has come across, and like Beyoncé, her mum still styles her clothes.
But approaching 30 and finding herself breaking up poo in the toilet with a stick because her little brother blocked it, she’s starting to wonder:  ‘Does this ever happen to Beyoncé?!’
If she couldn’t dance or sing, but was still a diva, when life gave her lemons…What would Beyonce Do?!
This hugely successful intense hour comes from Omielan’s strong writing, projected byher booming
personality.  It’s hot, funny and fierce, overflowing with playfulness and infectious enthusiasm.
Her stand-up is never far away from her bursting into song and dance so you leave this show beaming, feeling empowered and ready to take on life. Come and watch it, because who runs the world? Girls.
In 2010-2011, Luisa took Improvisation, Clowning and Sketch courses at the world famous
comedy institutions Second City and I.O. in Chicago (alumni include John Candy, Mike Myers, Tina Fey) and has been performing all over LA, including the Hollywood Improv comedy club. She performs in comedy clubs across the UK, runs a comedy club for kids and is the host of London’s raucous party event ‘Musical Bingo’.
