Canada Water Culture Space is delighted to welcome acclaimed pianist Zoe Rahman this May for an intimate London show.  Zoe won Best Jazz Act at the prestigious 2012 MOBO awards and remains renowned for her distinctive sound which has consistently generated high praise amongst jazz critics and audiences alike.

Her individual style, powerful technique and exuberant performance has made her a highly sought-after musician, working with the likes of Courtney Pine, George Mraz, Martha Wainwright and Jerry Dammers’ Spatial AKA. Her 2006 album, Melting Pot, was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize and her critically acclaimed Where Rivers Meet found her and her brother Idris Rahman exploring the music of their Bengali heritage in a brilliant fusion of jazz and world music. She has toured Italy, Ireland, Sweden and Bangladesh and has played in many countries including France, USA, Barbados, Norway, Estonia, Australia, Japan, Venezuela, Algeria, India and Holland for the North Sea Festival.  Accompanying Zoe will be Rowland Sutherland on flute, Cheryl Alleyne on drums and Alec Dankworth on bass.
