If you dream that you have a lookalike, then you may not feel unique in your waking hours anymore. You might fear being replaced by someone you care about. Perhaps you worry about your partner finding someone else, or your family favouring someone over you or being forgotten.
Perhaps you believe that someone is trying to mimic your personality or your way of life and you feel like they are copying everything you do. Is it time to let them know that they have overstepped the mark?
If it is bothering you- try to focus on what is totally unique about yourself so you don’t feel like you have lost your identity because of someone else. There is bound to be something they can’t or won’t copy. With time, they may get bored and move on.
It’s possible someone is representing you right now and you don’t agree with the way in which they are- you feel they are misinterpreting what you stand for and what you believe in. They may have done so without your permission or without warning which is making you feel even more powerless.
If your doppelganger was evil in your dream, it could be that you need to face the bad you have done and find a way to make up for it. If you killed your lookalike then it’s possible you are repressing negative emotions or memories because you don’t want to face them.
If your doppelganger was good in your dreamscape do you need to show more of the positive sides to yourself if you have been holding them back? Give yourself a chance to shine.
If your lookalike was doing something you’ve been meaning to for yourself or someone else, perhaps you regret not starting whatever it was sooner because someone has beaten you to it.
