To dream about being the middle child might reflect your own insecurities or issues about being the middle child in your waking hours.

Perhaps you are resentful of your older and younger siblings for getting all the attention from your parents or indeed others. If this is the case, perhaps you need to voice your concerns to your family.

It’s possible that you are suffering from the middle child-like symptoms in a relationship involving three people in your waking hours.

Do you have a friendship that involves three people? If so, you may feel that all focus revolves around the other two people in that social circle. If they don’t appear to care about your thoughts and feelings, it may be time to distance yourself from this setup. Or, you may need to be more forthcoming with your involvement in the group if you tend to sit back and let the other two take the spotlight.

Another interpretation is that you feel stuck in the middle of two people who aren’t getting along or have differing morals and viewpoints. It may be wise to mediate in this situation or another possibility is that you all need to go your separate ways.

Do you feel excluded, ignored or neglected in some area of your life? It may not be related to family or friends, but perhaps you feel this way in your professional life. If so, can you speak to a superior about this or even move to another role where this is no longer an issue for you?
