To dream about hummus suggests that you are feeling a little crushed about something that’s happened in your waking hours.

You are disappointed or embarrassed about something you’ve done and maybe you need to repair the damage.

Do you need to apologise to someone or explain your reasons for feeling so disheartened?

On the other hand, the dream could be telling you to get over it- while it may have seemed catastrophic at the time, perhaps with some perspective, you can learn to put it behind you.

Hummus is a smooth food so perhaps you need to smooth something over with someone in your life.

If there has been a problem or difficulty with someone- perhaps you need to be the one to make the first move and lessen the impact.

On the flipside, if someone has tried to do this for you- perhaps you weren’t as forgiving as you could have been and need to rethink your response.

If you were dipping something into hummus in your dream such as pitta bread or a vegetable baton, perhaps you need to try something without committing to it wholeheartedly.

The dream could be encouraging you to give something a go just to see what comes of it.

If you are someone who always sticks to the tried and tested and rarely moves away from your comfort zone, it might be time to take some chances.

Hummus is a very versatile food, it can be eaten as a dip, as a sandwich or wrap filler or even blended with non-traditional ingredients to make it differ from the original recipe. Similarly, it can be served as a starter, as part of a buffet or within a main course.

With all that said, it’s possible you need to think outside the box and not use something in the way it was intended.

Consider approaching something in a new way and experiment by taking it and putting a new spin on it. Who knows what you might come up with?

Most hummus recipes call for just five ingredients- chickpeas, oil, garlic, tahini and lemon juice, so perhaps the dream is a message to simplify your life.

You may be overcomplicating something that requires a more stripped back approach.

Why do you feel the need to make this thing more work than it needs to be? Is this of your own doing or does someone else in your life enjoy giving you a challenge?

If you dined and dashed, perhaps you have recently run away from a responsibility and need to admit your wrongdoing and put it right. Similarly, you may have done something that is not socially acceptable or worse- legal lately, yet you feel a sense of satisfaction at being a rebel. Perhaps the dream is a result of some guilt you actually feel about it despite you telling yourself otherwise… to read more click HERE
