To dream about soap suggests you want to cleanse your life of something or someone at present.

Who is making things difficult for you? What would you feel better without? Certain physical items or habits perhaps?

This dreamscape might also refer to things from your past. Old beliefs or grudges you have held onto unnecessarily. Is it time to finally let these go?

Think about what you were washing off for extra meaning. If you were particularly dirty, perhaps you have a lot you feel you need to shed before you can reveal the new or better you.

With that said, if there was very little to wash away, you may need to make minor adjustments to get to where you want to be.

Either way, you are being proactive and doing something about the things you want to change.

Dirt can also represent guilt or shame over something in your waking hours- so think about what you are embarrassed about or regret. How can you redeem yourself?

Was there someone in the dream with you? If you were both using soap, perhaps you did something together that you each feel some remorse about.

If this person was handing you a bar of soap, it’s possible they want you to clean up their mess or ‘clean your act up’ before they approve of you and your life choices. Perhaps you do need to alter some of your behaviours and they make a good point, however if their demands are outlandish, it may be prudent to create some space between you and them.

The soap in the dream might be linked to feelings about your life being like a soap opera right now. If there is unnecessary drama or problems cropping up that you could do without- what can you do to minimise the effects or stop them from happening altogether?

If you are the cause of this- it might be wise to dial back your desire to over complicate things or explore why you are driven to do this in the first place.

On the other hand, if this is down to someone else and their need to create gossip through boredom or nastiness, perhaps you need to distance yourself from this person or speak to them about no longer involving you in their games.

Think about how much soap you were using, if the bubbles created by the soap were getting out of control, perhaps you are trying too hard to purge your life of something. You don’t need to be so thorough, perhaps some remnants of this person or situation are justified or even necessary.

There may always be an imprint of this time in your life, despite how hard you try to wipe the slate clean.

A full bath could be your mind telling you that you are full to the brim and can't take any more without letting a little bit out. If you have taken on too much in your professional life or are supporting someone who has a lot of issues at home, then you may feel like you are overflowing and have nothing left to give. This might be the perfect time to seek support to let some of that water out. A bath can also be symbolic of purification and renewal. If you feel like you need a fresh start by changing career, moving house or seeking a new relationship then a transition in one or a few of these areas might address these innermost desires. You might be overdue for an emotional and psychological cleanse and it may be the time to do so. Perhaps you need to offload these feelings to someone close to you, a professional or simply write them down so you can relieve some of the pressure that's been building up...
