Buffy The Vampire Slayer star Anthony Head tried to stop his daughters following him into show business - until he realised they would "never forgive" him if he banned them from acting.
But when the girls first expressed an interest in acting, Head tried todiscourage them from seeking a life in the spotlight
Head's grown-up children, Emily and Daisy, have both branched into onscreen roles, taking up parts in British TV shows.
But when the girls first expressed an interest in acting, Head tried todiscourage them from seeking a life in the spotlight.
He tells British TV show This Morning, "I'm flattered by the fact that they can see all the stuff that goes on (with acting) and still think it's worthwhile. But I kind of went, 'Well, maybe you shouldn't,' and (my wife) Sarah said, 'Look, don't stop them because who knows what they're going to want to do when they're 25. If they get to 40 and you stopped them, they'll never forgive you.'"
And Head admits he's proud his daughters have both now managed to carveout careers in the acting industry, especially as the audition process can be so gruelling.
He adds, "It has given them a huge range of things that they can use. Imean, they are incredibly good with people... and (that) self assurance and confidence that you get from being knocked down and getting back up. I've always told them, 'Don't take it personally, it's not about what youcan do, it's about your face if it happens to fit.'"
