Kirsten Dunst wants a flat in Berlin

Kirsten Dunst has embraced her European roots by becoming a German citizen.

The Hollywood actress, whose father is Germand mother is Swedish, has relatives in Hamburg and has now made her connection to the country official while still retaining her American citizenship.

Dunst tells German publication, B.Z.: "I'm not a real international lady, one who can film in Europe without a problem."

The Spiderman star speaks a little of the language and dreams of one day acting in a German film, adding: "It would be the greatest joy for me to act in a German film."

She is also considering buying a property in the German capital: "I would prefer to buy an apartment in Berlin. It's such a young city, and right now so much is happening in Berlin."
