Nikki Reed is looking forward to spending Christmas with her family.
The 'Twilight' star has revealed that she can't wait to see her entire family over the festive period, but insists she won't splash out on any fancy parties.
She said: "I want my family to be all together, which I think is going to happen for the first time in a long time.
"I grew up without a lot of money...and so when that's the circumstances, you kind of figure out what you're going to do at the last second and it usually just involves [something] like dog piling on the living room floor."
The 26-year-old actress is glad she is now able to give her family the holidays they've always wanted.
She told E! News: "I make it a point to do something really special.
"My father and his family, we've all gone skiing or last year we went to the Dominican Republic and this year we're going to back to the snow. It's a lot of family time."
It is not clear whether Nikki will spend the festive period with her boyfriend, Ian Somerhalder, but their relationship is definitely going from strength to strength after Ian recently gushed that she was one of the "most beautiful ladies in the universe" as well as praising her work with the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Alongside a photograph of them with two of their dogs, The 'Vampire Diaries' star wrote: "A day with 3 of the most beautiful ladies in the universe... Wow smiling is such a beautiful part of the human experience - I highly recommend it."
He added: "@iamnikkireed your recent work with Gilt benefiting the @aspca is truly truly extraordinary. Thank you for giving so much of your life and for being a strong voice for those whom can speak. My hat is off to you. You amaze me. Love, Ian [sic]"
