We are delighted to get behind this wonderful campaign after what has been a challenging 2020 for all of us, with 2020 Love Island winner Paige Turley looking froward a special Christmas with boyfriend Finn Tapp.

"We haven’t decided who’s family we will be spending Christmas with yet, but as we have our own place in Manchester, we have decided to wake up there on Christmas morning," she told Female First. "It is our first Christmas together so we want it to be really special."

Paige's fellow Love Island star Laura Anderson lifted the wrapping on her Christmas plans with this exclusive comment for Female First as she confirmed her beloved dog Buddy has a big role to play in her plans.

"I recently moved back to Scotland which I am loving! I will be spending Christmas with my family this year," she told us. "Buddy, of course, will be involved and will have his own presents under the tree!"

Influencer Anna Whitehouse, better known by her handle Mother Pukka, is backing the Action for Children campaign and she hopes we all appreciate the simple things in life this Christmas.

"If this year has taught us anything, it’s to be grateful for things we have," she told Female First. "Christmas 2020 for me is going to involve a lot of cuddles with my kids, watching The Grinch at least 3 times a day, and a lot of egg nog – heavy on the nog."

Ore Oduba, Nadia Sawalha, Dr Ranj, Olivia & Alex Bowen, Debbie and Lydia Bright are among the other celebrities backing the Action for Children Secret Santa campaign, with Strictly’s Neil Jones, Eyal Booker, Helen Flanagan, Laura Hamilton, Ali Bastian and Miles Nazaire also on the list of contributors.

Secret Santa can result in unthoughtful and unwanted gifts, so Action for Children are giving people the chance to give a gift with meaning, by purchasing a stylish celebrity-modelled sweatshirt of their choice.

In doing so, they will be raising vital funds for the vulnerable children and young people the charity supports.

Adult sweatshirts are available in grey and black, in sizes 8-18 for women and size S-XXL for men, all for £32. The sweatshirts for children are £20 and come in feather grey, offered in sizes ranging from 3 to 12 years. The traditional festive-themed graphics inspire wearers to remember the true meaning of Christmas, to spread joy and think of others.

Action for Children work to ensure children across the UK feel safe and happy, providing services which allow them to step in to help when times get tough.

Christmas should be a magical period, spending time with family and exchanging presents, but for thousands of children across the UK this will not be the case.

Due to the global pandemic and a huge change in the financial situation of many, lots of children will face adversity this Christmas. Some will be waking up on Christmas Day homeless, others living with domestic violence or suffering from abuse and neglect, whilst many will be going hungry. Funds raised through the sales of the merchandise will help Action for Children to support vulnerable children like these.
