As we land in the last month of the year, most of us experience one of many emotions. It could be excitement about Christmas, spending time with family and friends, celebrating our wins through the year or it could also be feelings of overwhelm when you see your list of pending things to do, dreams that you couldn’t touch upon, those commitments you made to be uber fit and then the gym membership that went down the drain and so on.

How are you going to make your next year count? How are you going to make it better? In what space and energy would you want to be to live a life you dream of?

Would your December also look like this? Creating a new set of resolutions, re-committing to get fit, plan to eat a balanced diet, promise yourself some ME time in the new year, find time to de stress or achieve that audacious business or professional goal?

Take a deep breath in, relax… and now continue reading.

Life is simple, let’s keep it that way. Just for this month, park over-thinking and your usual routine to the side and engage in this simple three step process to set yourself up for each day. Three simple steps to be a NEW YOU, each day every day!

1. Before you get out of bed - Everything is energy and energy contains information. To-do lists are energetically sapping because they usually are longer than the time available to you to complete all the items on that list and this causes a sense of overwhelm, even before you begin your day. Make a TO-BE list instead. Who do you choose TO BE today - A joyful person, contented person, peaceful person, creative person, a friend, a healer, a compassionate person or a calm person? Now when you choose to be this person for the day, no matter what happens, this will dictate your state of mind, help you be the best at it and therefore help you navigate through the day with an intention based experience.

2. Before you leave home - Imagine the day ahead. Visualise the people you may meet, connect with on mail or in person, your colleagues, commuters on the way to work, or the meetings you’ve scheduled for the day. Now send them out a message of acceptance –‘ I accept you, please accept me’. Engaging in this exercise is a great way to set yourself and those you are about to meet, in a space of acceptance. This allows you an opportunity to go through the day with ease and grace, helping you have the best experience of whatever situation you may be in, whoever you meet and whatever conversations you have.

3. Before you end the day – Look back at your day and recall all the people you met, interacted with and send them a message of forgiveness –‘ I forgive you, please forgive me’. This statement helps you wrap your day up with all its experiences and lessons, allowing you to reflect on its quality and integrate it to mark the day complete. So when you wake up the next day, you feel refreshed and rejuvenated, ready to play all out into a brand new day!

Using these three simple, yet highly effective steps is a great way to make sure you don’t need to wait for new year to create a new you…you can begin right here, right now and enjoy a new you every day!
