With Crufts just around the corner, we thought it would only be right to take a look at some of the cutest and most famous celebrity dogs from over the years.

The Queen’s Corgis

The Queen, aside of course being the Queen, is famous for her love of the many corgis she owned. Since becoming the Head of State, it is estimated that Elizabeth II has owned over 30 of her favourite breed.

Last year, the last of her corgis sadly passed away, leaving the Queen corgi-less. Her loyal companion, Whisper, was 12 when he died. A few months prior to Whisper’s passing, another one of the Queen’s corgis, Willow, was put-down after a cancer-related illness at the age of 15. Willow was a 14th generation descendant of the Queen’s first dog, Susan.

The Queen decided to stop breeding Pembroke Welsh corgis in 2015, over fears she may trip up and hurt herself. It was also reported that she didn’t want to leave any of her beloved furry friends behind when she dies.

Tinkerbell

If asked to think of a famous chihuahua, of course, we think of Tinkerbell.

Paris Hilton’s famous handbag dog died in 2015, but certainly lived a very glamorous life whilst she was with us - although she did have a dramatic moments along the way...

Like the time in 2004, when Tinkerbell went missing after burglars hit Paris’ home. She offered a $5,000 reward in an attempt to get her princess pup back, but thankfully, the famous chihuahua mysteriously reappeared after 6 days.

When Paris announced the sad news of Tinkerbell’s passing, she said in a post on Instagram: "My heart is broken. I am so sad & devastated. I feel like I've lost a member of my family... I love you Tinky, you are a Legend & will never be forgotten."

Norman and Bambi

We all know that the Kar-Jenners love their pets - Kylie even named one of her lip kits after her beloved dog, Dolce.

In fact, Kylie has owned many dogs over the years - including Louis and Vuitton, Jackson and Odie.

But the self-made billionaire’s faves, and most well-known to her fans, are Norman and Bambi, the tiny Italian Greyhounds.

She loves the brother-sister duo so much, she invested in a custom-built mansion for the pups. Some of the fanciest features that the canine-friendly pad includes are: heating and air-conditioning, a white fence and a mini porch.

Bo

The former First Dog of the United States has his own Wikipedia page, which is really quite something.

Bo is a Portuguese Water Dog - a breed which was specifically chosen to avoid upsetting Malia Obama’s allergies.

At his first press conference as President-elect, Barack told reporters: "We have two criteria that have to be reconciled. One is that Malia is allergic, so it has to be hypoallergenic. There are a number of breeds that are hypoallergenic. On the other hand, our preference would be to get a shelter dog."

In June 2009, the White House released a baseball card for Bo, which included some facts about the newest addition to the Obama family. It was revealed that Bo’s favourite food is tomatoes and he hadn't yet learned how to swim.

Squiddly, Diddly and Freddy

It’s fair to say since the birth of his son, Eric, Simon Cowell has really softened. The days of the music mogul heartlessly calling out contestants for lacking charisma and openly mocking their appearance are long gone. Although it was certainly entertaining to watch, we are glad that the often cringeworthy verbal abuse has ended.

In fact, he’s so sensitive now that he has openly admitted he plans to clone his beloved Yorkshire Terriers, Squiddly, Diddly and Freddy, because he can’t cope with the thought of them dying.

Last year, he told the Sun on Sunday: “I am 100 percent cloning the dogs, all of them. We’ve thoroughly looked into it, got all the details and I can prove to you I’m going to clone them. There is documentation. I am doing it because I cannot bear the thought of them not being around.”

We love our pups and understand why Simon has put together this POA, but sadly, at £60,000 per animal, we just can’t afford that level of heartbreak prevention. We'll just buy a plaque and plant a tree in remembrance.
