As the weekend draws closer, the celebrity stories keep rolling in. We may have only just moved into this year’s major awards season, but the controversy has already kickstarted…

When fans heard that The Weeknd hadn’t been nominated for a single Grammy Award despite his chart-topping album, they were shocked to say the least. The artist has now broken his silence on the matter, stating that he won’t be attending or partaking in any activities relating to the event moving forward; which includes putting any future work forward for contention.

The move was applauded by the majority on social media, who thanked him for calling out a system some would say is corrupt and, more inclined to celebrate work by white artists than those who are black or of another minority group.

Frank Ocean and Solange Knowles made similar statements back in 2017, but it seems that The Grammys still have a long way to go when it comes to making ALL artists feel appreciated.

Meanwhile, Eddie Izzard has opened up further about their gender identity and spoken about the gender dysmorphia they’ve felt ever since their younger years.

In an interview with The Guardian, Izzard shared that she was making her she/her gender pronouns permanent, in one of the most honest sit-downs in her career:

Of course, with an interview like this comes a barrage of abuse and hate from trolls who are still living in a time when they think free speech means freedom from consequence; unfortunately for them, they’re quickly becoming the minority.

For every hateful comment, there are 10 more of support and it is those people we will be highlighting here today!

To finish up today, what better than to look through some photographs of Lady Gaga feeding Adam Driver on the film set of upcoming movie House of Gucci?

We got our first look at the blockbuster earlier this week, but there’s something so pure and beautiful about these pictures, that you’ve just gotta see them for yourself:
