With a longer wait than any cast in Drag Race herstory due to the coronavirus pandemic, the final four of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Season 2 finally found out last night (March 18th, 2021) which one of them would be crowned the UK’s Next Drag Superstar.

Fans were rooting for their favourites but in the end, the final decision was Mama Ru’s to make. She decided that the show’s first-ever Scottish entrant, Lawrence Chaney, should be awarded the crown and sceptre, as well as the all-expenses paid trip to Hollywood to film a digital series with the producers of Drag Race UK.

Lawrence had been a frontrunner of the competition since the first day, picking up a total of three challenge wins despite sometimes getting in her own head about what she was able to do. She delivered stunning looks on the runway and some of the most hilarious moments the show has ever seen. A worthy winner indeed.

All in all, it was exactly what the doctor ordered whilst we’ve all been stuck indoors! Top tier entertainment.

Meanwhile, streaming service Disney+ broadcast the first episode of their original Marvel Studios series, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

Coming off of the back of the wildly-successful WandaVision, there were high expectations. Fortunately, despite being very different, it looks like it’s set to be a very promising adventure for the beloved titular duo.

Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan have incredible chemistry on screen, so seeing them work together so closely on this project is a treat for everyone.

Rounding things off today is Lana Del Rey, who dropped her new album Chemtrails Over The Country Club to much acclaim.

“It’s hard to be lonely but it’s the right thing to do,” she croons, in what has to be one of the most relatable songs to come out of lockdown.

Fans are eating the record up; expect to see it celebrated for many months to come.

Comic book and superhero movie fans were a little disappointed when the Joss Whedon-infected Justice League made its way to the big screen, to say the least.
