Our favourite podcast this week is: Netball Nation Podcast
Why? With a huge rise in interest surrounding both women’s sports and podcasts, now is the perfect time to get into audio shows covering ladies' games. At Female First, we always love to promote females in sport. With the Netball world cup coming up this summer (and it’s in the U.K!) it’s a super exciting time for the sport - even more of a reason to give this show a listen.
Who’s the host? Emma Jones hosts the weekly podcast show alongside Sara Bayman and Maggie Birkinshaw. Emma is a natural host whose style is energetic and contagious, keeping the vibe of the podcast exciting and smooth-flowing.
Sara and Maggie both have successful backgrounds in netball. Sara is a player and coach who represented England in the 2010 Commonwealth Games, and Maggie has played at the highest level of the game, representing England U18s, England U21s and the senior team - competing at three World Championships.
What’s it about? Netball Nation covers all things netball. Each week, the ladies discuss the latest games and news in netball - giving expert analysis and comment. You don’t have to know a lot about netball to enjoy this podcast - just have a passion for the sport and you’ll learn a lot along the way!
