Pakistan have taken a 2-1 lead in their five-match T20 International series away to South Africa.

The sub-continent outfit won the opening match by seven wickets with 12 balls remaining after chasing down South Africa's 119 for seven courtesy of half-centuries from Bismah Maroof and Nadi Dar.

South Africa hit back in the second match as they won by eight wickets with one ball remaining. The hosts restricted Pakistan to 128 for five and Lizelle Lee and Marizanne Kapp backed up the bowlers with half-centuries.

However, the visitors edged ahead again in game three as they won by seven wickets. Opener Tazmin Brits laid the foundations for a solid total as her unbeaten 70 carried the Proteas to 138 for three.

Pakistan, though, reached their target in 19.4 overs thanks to 55 from Iram Javed and Nida Dar's 32.

Football

Olympique Lyonnais Feminin have won their fourth consecutive Uefa Women's Champions League crown after brushing aside Barcelona 4-1 in the final in Budapest.

Dzsenifer Marozsan opened the scoring for the defending champions before Ballon d'Or winner Ada Hegerberg notched up a first-half hat-trick.

Asisat Oshoala scored a consolation goal for Barcelona.

England right-back Lucy Bronze was part of the Lyon starting XI while Izzy Christiansen also collected a winner's medal despite not playing in the final due to injury.

Meanwhile, Uefa has launched a new five-year plan called Time for Action with the hope of doubling the number of women and girls playing football.

"Every girl (should) feel like it’s the most normal thing in the world to play football," UEFA’s head of women’s football Nadine Kessler told The Associated Press, "whether just for fun or because she wants to win the World Cup."

The Ladies European Tour visited Spain this weekend for the La Reserva de Sotogrande Invitational and it was Celine Herbin who walked away with the trophy.

The Frenchwoman claimed her second LET title as she secured a one-shot victory over German Esther Henseleit with England's Charlotte Thompson, France's Camille Chevalier and Swede Caroline Hedwall finishing a further stroke adrift.

Herbin carded a final round six-under 69 to finish on 282.

"I like to play in Spain and I’ve been here practising a lot," she said. "My coach is Spanish, so I really wanted to do well here in Spain, so definitely a special win and a big thanks to my caddie, Juan, who was awesome all week long and kept me calm.

"You have seen me smiling all day and all week because we chatted about so many other things and I was just very focused when I came up to the ball. That was one of the keys for sure, and he helped me a lot on the greens. It was also emotional to win in front of my parents."

Europe Solheim Cup captain Catriona Matthew has committed to playing more on the Ladies European Tour, announcing that she is stepping away from the LPGA Tour.

The Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational in July will be her last LPGA event on US soil.

"This is my 25th year on the LPGA and I decided it was time," she said. "I just want to be at home a bit more. It’s a lot easier commuting to Europe. I’m going to play in the KPMG Championship and then the DOW with Suzann (Pettersen). Being the Solheim Cup captain, it’s good to be around the other players."

She added: "I’m not quitting: I’ll play in Europe and I’m keen to play in the U.S. Senior Open next year. I’m moving my focus to try and win that. I’m not retiring, I’m just retiring from the LPGA."

Netball

Ama Agbeze, who led England to gold at the Commonwealth Games in Australia in 2017, will not feature at the upcoming Netball World Cup in Liverpool.

Tracey Neville’s 12-player squad for the July 12-21 event will be announced on Thursday, but it has been confirmed that Agbeze won't be selected.

The 36-year-old missed the Quad Series in January due to injury and has struggled to regain full fitness.

"I think I'm dealing with it quite well but I'm really disappointed," Agbeze told BBC Sport.

"I feel like I'm at peace with the decision, which I never thought I would say because I'm usually a wreck. I'm scared that as time goes on there will be a time I break down."

Her fellow defender Beth Cobden will also miss the tournament due to a knee injury.

The Manchester Thunder are the 2019 Superleague champions after denying Wasps a third consecutive title with a 57-52 victory in the Grand Final at London's Copper Box.

Tennis

What a week it was for Karolina Pliskova in Rome as the Czech claimed her second Premier 5 tournament when she beat British No 1 Johanna Konta 6-3, 6-4 in the Italian Open final.

"It has been a great week for me and my team," former world No 1 Pliskova said. "There have been a couple of tough matches here (in Rome).

"So I’m happy that I fought through them. The weather wasn’t easy and I’m just happy that we are able to finish today."

And here is Konta reflecting on what has also been a great week for her as she reached her second clay-court final of the season in Rome.
