Wild West Solitaire

Lauren Omond from TeePee Games brings us her roundup of all things games - new discoveries, gossip and more!

PyramidVille

Resource management games have become hugely popular on Facebook, and almost the gaming genre of choice for many people. Games ending in ‘Ville’ have also proved to be popular and PyramidVille hopes to continue this trend with a new spin on the genre by taking a dip into the Egyptian era.

Similar in name to games like FarmVille and FrontierVille, PyramidVille tasks players with building your very own Egyptian paradise through managing the generation of the popular, food and construction resources.

Population is the easiest to manage, with the more houses being built, the higher the population you will have. In order to feed them, food is produced in a similar way to FarmVille by planting and harvesting crops and from chickens and cows.

PyramidVille is another variation on the classic resource management genre with the cool Egyptian setting providing a brand new back drop which makes it unique from other titles.

Pharaoh Lauren’s Verdict: PyramidVille had me walking like an Egyptian throughout, such was its authenticity, and provided a welcome change to FrontierVille and FarmVille.

Wild West Solitaire

Card games are usually the perfect fit for the computer and can be strangely addictive (I’m looking at you Solitaire), so when I first heard about Wild West Solitaire, I was filled with a strange sense of dread at all the hours I would whittle away playing it.

Despite Solitaire being a fairly dated game, Wild West Solitaire updates it with a blend of adventure gameplay and the addictive nature of Solitaire.

Players take on the role of a Cowboy who is travelling through the Wild West seeking out wanted criminals who you catch with your killer card skills.

In order to progress through the game you have to travel to various locations in the Wild West to capture the next outlaw on your hit list. To do this you need to collect badges, which are collected from the card game, which is played in similar style to Spider Solitaire or Mahjong.

Wild West Solitaire is a really interesting game and is very enjoyable to play; the general gameplay is very unique and will provide you with hours of fun, just like the olden days sat playing Solitaire on your PC!

Sheriff Lauren’s Verdict: For Solitaire fans, Wild West Solitaire is a fantastic twist to a popular classic which challenges you at every turn.
