Just in time for the holiday season, pre-orders for Borderlands 3 are now live on the 2K Store for a limited run of the game’s Ultimate Edition on physical discs for new-gen consoles; the forthcoming release will be the first time this edition is in physical form.

Borderlands is a popular gaming series beginning all the way back to 2009, when the first game was released. The games boast a first-person shooter and open-world playing style, not to mention the splicing of sci-fi and western to make up the game’s overall theme.
The plot for Borderlands 3 focuses on four new Vault Hunters, who have been recruited by the Crimson Raiders of Pandora in order to stop twins, Troy and Tyreen Calypso (and their insane cult followers) from harnessing a power that could spell disaster for the galaxy.
The Ultimate Edition of Borderlands 3 is the definitive gaming experience, with features such as the award-winning base game, as well as all six content add-ons and the complete collection of bonus cosmetic packs.
PS5 and Xbox Series X will be the only consoles that support this physical edition of the game, which is where players can experience the incredible 4K resolution, 60 frames per second (fps), and the immense processing power.
Users can also enjoy single player mode and online co-op, along with three and four player split-screen when using local multiplayer.
In addition to the base game, the Ultimate Edition includes:
The Borderlands 3 season pass, which features Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot; Guns, Love and Tentacles: The Marriage of Wainwright and Hammerlock; Bounty of Blood; Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck; Butt Stallion Pack: Weapon skin, trinket, Butt Stallion grenade mod.
Borderlands 3’s Season Pass 2 includes Designer's Cut content add-on, featuring brand new 'Arms Race' mode and an additional skill tree for each Vault Hunter; Director's Cut content add-on, featuring a new raid boss, interplanetary murder mystery missions, three Vault Cards, and never-before-seen behind-the-scenes content; All four Multiverse Final Form Cosmetic Packs; and all four Multiverse Disciples of the Vault Cosmetic Packs.
Players will also receive Additional Bonus Content, which features Retro Cosmetic Pack: Vault Hunter skin, ECHO Device skin, weapon skin; Neon Cosmetic Pack: Vault Hunter skin, ECHO Device skin, trinket; Gearbox Cosmetic Pack: Weapon skin, trinket; Toy Box Weapon Pack: 2 Toy guns, Toy grenade mod, trinket; as well as Equippable XP & Loot Drop Boost Mods.
Players can purchase the physical discs for Borderlands 3’s Ultimate Edition from November 12th, 2021 for new-gen consoles.
