The Sega Dreamcast video game was cancelled by Konami in 2000 after they reportedly showed the 'Castlevania: Resurrection' gameplay to select members of the press in 1999, which has now been published on the video platform.

In the three-minute clip, fans can see a prototype for the video game with sequences from all the game's stages that allows the player to time travel to before the events of the original 'Castlevania'.

Meanwhile, Jason Lee Elliott - who was one of the artists that worked on the title - the game was doomed from the start.

He said: “Most of the team had only ever worked on sports games so they had no idea how to make a 3D action platformer. The art team wasn’t very cohesive and couldn’t agree on a direction."
