Developer CD Projekt Red has teased that gamers can expect even more role-playing elements than the 2015 title.

Asked about the hotly-anticipated RPG game's weapons - which includes the eight-barreled aimbot shotgun - during a community Q&A, Senior level designer Miles Tost said: "There's a ton of weapons.

"How I would sort of summarise this is... I think people tend to forget that [...] this game is an RPG first and foremost.

"So, customisation and making equipment choices, making choices in the skills that you have, the talents, how your character looks, how you play them in the dialogue or whatever - is really centre stage of the experience.

"I think lots of people just look at the game and go, 'Ah man, it's a first-person and has guns, so it's a shooter'. And that is really surface-level assessment.

"I think, in many ways, 'Cyberpunk' is a much, much deeper role-playing experience than 'The Witcher 3'."

Meanwhile, the developers recently warned gamers about a recent 'Cyberpunk' scam.

The firm spoke out after recent emails claiming to offer fans sing-ups for beta access.

In an official statement, the company tweeted: "If you recently received an email claiming to be granting you beta access to 'Cyberpunk 2077', it's not from us.

"Unfortunately, there have been more of these being sent out over the past few weeks. When we contact you via email, it'll always come from @ cdprojektred com address.

"Same goes for content creators. We always reach out directly from @ cdprojektred com domain.

"If you are being contacted by a third party claiming to be working with us (an ad agency for example), you can assume it's not genuine. (sic)"

CD Projekt recently reiterated that no beta test is planned for the game.

Asked about the same topic earlier this week, they said: "We do not have plans for that. Sorry!"

'Cyberpunk 2077' - which was previously delayed from a planned April release to September - is finally set to drop on November 19, with plans for a Stadia release by the end of the year and next-gen versions set for 2021.
