According to lead designer Will Shen, the game's third add-on offers players "new stories, new experiences and a new conflict between the townspeople, The Children of Atom, and the Synths".

However, 'Fallout 4' players have to complete the 'Getting a Clue' mission before they can experience the new downloadable content as it is compulsory to have teamed up with Nick Valentine of Valentine's Detective Agency, before embarking on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths.

According to the official description from Bethesda Game Studios: "A new case from Valentine's Detective Agency leads you on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths. Travel off the coast of Maine to the mysterious island of Far Harbor, where higher levels of radiation have created a more feral world. Navigate through the growing conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople. Will you work towards bringing peace to Far Harbor, and at what cost?

"Far Harbor features the largest landmass for an add-on that we've ever created, filled with new faction quests, settlements, lethal creatures and dungeons. Become more powerful with new, higher-level armor and weapons. The choices are all yours."

Last year 'Fallout 4' debuted in the number one spot on the all-format video gaming chart, with its impressive numbers making it the third most successful launch of the year.

'Fallout 4' sales were a huge 213 per cent higher than 2010's 'Fallout: New Vegas'.

It also broke Steam's previous record for concurrent play last week with over 470,000 players, and more than 1.2m owners.

'Fallout 4' is an open world action role-playing video game developed by Bethesda and is the fifth major installment in the 'Fallout' series.

It is set in a post-apocalyptic Boston 200 years after a devastating nuclear war and is available worldwide on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
