NetherRealm have insisted Injustice 2's Starfire is a beginner character.

The developer told fans not to expect the superhero - who launches on the game today (09.08.17) - to have a huge moveset compared to some characters, but she has good ability in the air and is able to create weapons out of her valuable green energy so could be ideal for those new to the title.

Starfire fans will also be pleased to note she can see off enemies with her spin attacks and basic jabs in the game.

What's more, the superhero floats above the ground and can pretty much turn into her sister Blackfire.

While the Starfire news is exciting, NetherRealm's Ed Boon teased fans they can expect an even bigger "wow" for the last character reveal.

Speaking on the SDCC livestream, he said: "Of all the characters we're going to reveal, we'll have the biggest 'wow' for the last one we're going to show."

This comes after the game director dropped a huge hint that Bizarro could be heading to 'Injustice 2' soon.

Ed took to his Twitter account to share a picture of the 'Superman' villain as one of the game's characters.

He captioned the image: "That's Bizzare.... OH, maybe he's an Injustice 2 skin ?! (sic)"

Bizarro has flame breath and freeze vision in contrast to Superman's heat vision and freeze breath.

'Mortal Kombat' veteran Sub-Zero was made available for 'Injustice 2' a few weeks ago.
