The 'Hard Out There' hitmaker is one of a host of celebrities to become obsessed with the augmented reality game, and has been keeping her fans up to date with her progress whilst she has been in Los Angeles.

Although she has amassed an impressive collection of Pokemon, Lily has taken to Twitter to break the bad news that she had found and then managed to lose the Pikachu character on Thursday (21.07.16), something that has upset her.

She posted: "I had and lost a pikachu. #dev'd. (sic)"

The star did attract a bit of online tolling for her comment about the game, with one Twitter user responding to her tweet with: "@lilyallen at your age? Embarassing. (sic)"

Lily, 31, was quick to defend herself and replied to her detractor: "Don't be ignorant, and ... Your mum (sic)"

The singer/songwriter has also revealed that the game - which draws players out into the real world to catch, battle and train the virtual reality creatures - has actually made her more sociable because of how the title works and has kept her off social networking sites like Instagram.

She wrote: "I think I might have checked the 'gram once since #POKEMONGO. And I feel more social. #PokemonGO is the real social media. #hatersgonnahate."

Despite losing Pikachu, Lily has managed to find and catch Magnemite, Parasect and Tauros.

Lily is joined by a host of other stars, such as Justin Bieber, Ellen DeGeneres, Chrissy Teigen, Demi Lovato and Soulja Boy, to become officially hooked on the craze.
