Earlier this week (September 29th, 2020), Ubisoft revealed a new Assassin's Creed Valhalla story trailer which offered further insight into the narrative we'll all be able to experience in the game come November. You can watch the teaser for yourself below:

The video shows Viking raider Eivor torn between their family duties and a personal quest to make a name for themselves. Driven from the endless warzone that Norway has become, Eivor's clan are hoping to secure a bountiful future among the kingdoms of England, but face some powerful adversaries along the way.

Along with Saxon kings and the warmongering sons of Ragnar Lothbrok causing chaos for Eivor's clan, they'll also come across the Hidden Ones and a mysterious threat that could completely change the future of the country.

For those of us who love our viking history, Ubisoft also announced the launch of their new podcast series Echoes of Valhalla. The show features Vikings who are offered the opportunity to tell their own story, giving a voice to the warriors who have travelled the world and shaped much of it.

Ubisoft Montreal led development on the game, which will offer an abundance of new features including raids, weapon dual-wielding and settlement building. Alongside that, fans of the franchise will recognise some of the gameplay mechanics they've been getting to grips with in game releases prior to this one.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla will be released on November 10th, 2020 alongside the launch of the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles. As well as being available on both those platforms, it'll be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Stadia.
