SEGA have recently released a short trailer to introduce two classic and loveable characters into the remaster of Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania, which will be released in October, 2021.
Fans are already excited about the upcoming release of Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania, as it is a remake with some amazing new features, including extra characters and more levels than ever before.
Roll through stages the game has to offer in order to stop Dr. Bad-Boon and keep your bananas! Travel through the villain’s Space Colony, or enjoy a spa day in the Bubbly Washing Machine.
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania has been remastered to a stunning quality, boasting crisp, high-resolution graphics as players can now enjoy this childhood favourite in HD.
As well as more monkey characters to play as, SEGA has announced that fan-favourite characters Sonic, and his friend Tails, will be joining the roster as playable characters!
This collaboration comes as a celebration of Super Money Ball’s 20th anniversary, and Sonic The Hedgehog’s 30th. The inclusion of the blue hedgehog and his yellow, two-tailed friend is recognition of both games and serves to honour the legacies of each.
Sonic and Tails will be available to play in all 300+ levels; players will be collecting rings instead of bananas if they chose either of these characters, as a nod to Sonic’s ring collecting habits.
Sonic’s first game released in 1991, while Super Monkey Ball didn’t grace screens until 10 years later, in 2001. Now, fans can enjoy the world of Super Monkey Ball with the inclusion of Sonic and Tails as you speed through levels and edge closer to the goal! What’s not to love?
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania will be available for Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam for £34.99 (console) and £24.99 (PC).
The Digital Deluxe edition of the game will retail for £44.99. Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania will also support Xbox Series X Smart Delivery immediately on release, making sure that players will only have to buy the game once in order to play it on their favourite Xbox console.
Additionally, buy the digital PS4 version from PlayStation™ Store, or the physical version from a retailer and play the PS5™ version at no extra cost.
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania will be released on October 5th, 2021.
