Supermassive Games recently released the second game in their story-driven horror series, ‘Little Hope’, and a trailer at the end of the game has given fans an insight into the next title in the hit series.

The third game - which follows ‘Little Hope’ and ‘Man of Medan’, although the stories are not thought to be connected - will be called ‘House of Ashes’, and will feature actress Ashley Tisdale in one of the major roles.

In the trailer - which has not been officially released by publishers Bandai Namco yet - players can get a first look at Ashley’s character, who looks as though she’ll be one of the games playable, and therefore killable, characters.

The next game also looks set to incorporate elements of Sumerian mythology, after ‘Man of Medan’ touched on the horrors of the ghost ship known as the Ourang Medan, and ‘Little Hope’ told the tale of visitors to a ghost town with an infamous history of witch hunting.

As of the time of writing, there’s no release date confirmed for ‘House of Ashes’, but the end of the trailer suggests the game will arrive in 2021.

There have also been no announcements for which consoles the new title will appear on, but after the last two games were released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, it’s thought ‘House of Ashes’ could follow suit.

For Supermassive Games, the Dark Pictures Anthology series comes after they first achieved critical acclaim with their 2015 interactive drama survival horror video game, ‘Until Dawn’.
