The gaming giant has announced that consumers can access Switch Online alongside the Monster Hunter Rise demo, which is now live on the Nintendo eShop.

Nintendo is currently offering a seven-day Switch Online trial through its My Nintendo rewards program. However, as it doesn't cost any points to redeem the trial, it is available at the moment to anyone with a Nintendo Account.

The free trial is set to expire on February 2 and consumers will only be able to redeem the offer one time.

But unless you turn off the automatic renewal before that date, consumers will have their free trial converted into a one-month subscription.

Meanwhile, Nintendo has shipped one million Switch consoles in China since launching the system in the world's most populous country in 2019.

As a result, the Switch has become China's biggest console device seller.

Consoles were actually banned in Chine until 2015, but the country is now seen as one of the key growth markets for the industry.

Gaming companies recognise the potential and the room for sudden success in a relatively untapped market - unlike in North America, Japan or Europe.
