The beloved detective game - which was developed by now-defunct Team Bondi, set in 1940s Los Angeles and saw the 'Mad Men' actor play Cole Phelps - celebrated its 10th anniversary on Monday (17.05.21), and the leading man has opened up on the potential for a follow-up from Rockstar.

He told The Hollywood Reporter: "I never heard a word about a sequel.

"If there was another story, I would be curious what they would tell since Cole Phelps died.

"I do get recognised from time to time from the game, which always makes me think how incredible the MotionScan technology was."

The tech saw the developers scan the faces of the actors into the game to create their lifelike characters.

Back in 2012, Rockstar did comment on the future of the series and insisted a sequel was a possibility even if it wasn't done right away.

They said at the time: "We're all very pleased with how that game turned out and are considering what the future may hold for 'L.A. Noire' as a series.

"We don't always rush to make sequels, but that does not mean we won't get to them eventually see 'Max' and 'Red Dead' for evidence of that.

"We have so many games we want to make and the issue is always one of bandwidth and timing."

Although a follow-up is yet to materialise, the game was launched on Nintendo Switch four years ago, and a VR edition called 'The Chase Files' was released in 2019.
