Though we usually see Premier League and International footballers promoting the latest video games, Ubisoft have decided to chuck a curveball into the mix, bringing in EFT League 2 stars as ambassadors for the launch of upcoming release, Tom Clancy's The Division 2.
Swindon Town's Matt Taylor joins Macclesfield Town's Kieran O'Hara, MK Dons players Callum Brittain and Robbie Simpson, Crewe Alexandra's George Ray and Yeovil Town's Omar Sowunmi, as promoters of the second Division game in Tom Clancy's blockbuster franchise.
Midfielder Matt Taylor comments: Each division is different, but the one thing that remains is true passion for the game. It's great to see Ubisoft recognise that by signing us up for The Division 2. We're thrilled to be joining the Private Beta, playing to launch and beyond. I look forward to seeing Division 2 fans in The Dark Zone!"
Ubisoft's Senior PR Manager Adam Merrett also says we should "watch out for more to come on unique new signings as we head towards launch in March," so it's going to be very interesting to see what everybody on the promotions team is cooking up for fans!
Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC players can secure access to the Private Beta by pre-ordering Tom Clancy's The Division 2 at participating retailers. A chance to join the Beta can also be had for those who register for access online at http://thedivisiongame.com/beta.
Tom Clancy's The Division 2 will launch in its entirety on March 15, 2019 on the Xbox One family of devices, the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system and Windows PC.
