Eating a healthy, well-balanced diet doesn't have to be expensive

Eating healthily needn't be as expensive as everyone thinks, you can produce cheap and delicious meals with a little planning. 

TV presenter and winner of celebrity MasterChef, Lisa Faulkner, shares her delicious recipe that costs only £4 per portion.

Here are some tips to help you along with the recipe.

Swap potatoes for sweet potatoes, a great source of vitamins as well as magnesium – a natural stress reliever.

Use healthier cooking oils such as olive oil or rapeseed oil.

Use leftover cuts of bread to make fresh breadcrumbs then freeze them until you need them – avoids waste and saves money.

Use natural yoghurt instead of mayonnaise for a low fat tartar sauce.

Divide leftover parsley into bunches, rinse, roll into kitchen paper and freeze for when you need it.
