Last night (December 10, 2018), the Royal Albert Hall in London was taken over by the biggest names in the UK fashion world and beyond, as well as a few rising stars for this year's Fashion Awards in Partnership with Swarovski. The red carpet was also brimming with some of the most beautiful gowns we've seen all year, and here are just a few that took our breath away.

Rosie Huntington-Whitely

The model channelled her inner peacock with a frilled, form-fitting Givenchy number in black, navy and burgundy. The plunging neckline added elegance, and the simple long black jacket that rested on her shoulders smacked of London power-glamour.

Winnie Harlow

Giving us serious swan vibes was this Victoria's Secret model in Atelier Versace. She was head to toe a silver glitter bombshell with feathers on her wrists, head and the lower half of her dress. Her gorgeous hair cascaded fluffy and long down her back like plumage as she glided down the red carpet.

Kendall Jenner

The oldest Jenner sister is well-known for being unafraid to show a little body, and this golden Julien Macdonald gown proved to be another daring show. Wearing nothing but a flesh-coloured thong under the sheer fabric, she was rocking the nude look with the longest side-slit on a dress EVER. With that figure, we can hardly blame her.

Duchess of Sussex

Wear something fit for a Duchess, that flatters a heavily pregnant belly and is suitable for the British Fashion Awards. That was Meghan Markle's brief. Not the easiest to work with and yet she still managed to radiate royal red carpet maternity chic in her black one-shoulder Givenchy gown when she presented the Designer of the Year award to the label's artistic director Clare Waight Keller.

Lana Del Rey

Putting Meghan to shame with her regal look was the Queen of Indie Pop in her Gucci ensemble. The gilded bodice with the floral embellishment was literally breathtaking, and the blue velvet cloak decked with golden stars and tassels looked Hogwarts' Yule Ball-ready. Now that's how you outshine a Princess.

Cindy Crawford

A classic beauty in a classic look, the veteran supermodel donned black velvet Marchesa for the event which she attended with her Model of the Year daughter Kaia Gerber. The Bardot neckline, leg slit and ruched front represents the kind of vintage Hollywood glam she's always been able to pull off so well.

Aquaria

Matching her make-up to her dress is this year's RuPaul's Drag Race winner in a custom Matty Bovan piece. The layers of different coloured tulle skirts with the woven floral detail gave her a homemade punk doll edge, and the bicep-length PVC gloves were a huge bonus. I mean, is it even legal to look that beautiful?!

Kaia Gerber

Going for a little flapper chic was this year's Model of the Year wearing Alexander McQueen. It was kind of a half-gown with silver fringe detail and half-suit with black trousers; asymmetrical haute couture. And it was clear 17-year-old Kaia made mom Cindy very proud.
