Do you know your AA BB CC’s?

Do you know your AA BB CC’s?

Just when we thought we had our heads around the confusing list of double letter skin creams, more and more appear to be cropping up. It seems the list may be endless and just to further confuse us all, a new one has been brought to our attention.

Let’s have a quick recap shall we? So far we have been bombarded with AA, BB, CC and even DD creams but now it seems another one has managed to squeeze itself onto the market and it won’t be long until they are proudly sitting on the shelves of our favourite beauty stores, you guessed it, EE creams have arrived.

The AA cream arrived to aid in the ‘anti-ageing’ process, we had BB cream aka the well and truly loved and raved about ‘blemish balm’, then CC designed to ‘colour correct’ your skin and the DD a ‘daily defence’ cream. So what does EE cream stand for you might wonder? ‘Extra exfoliation’ of course!

This time though, there will be no competition between this cream and the other beauty buys as this one focuses more on skincare rather than make-up. Although it isn’t set to be launching until March, it’s already got everyone talking. It may not be competing with the other popular beauty creams however instead it’s said to be going head-to-head with none other than the Clarisonic cleansing brush and others alike.

According to Women's Wear Daily the EE cream from Previse Skincare called MarineGranules is a “botanical-based marine mousse” that you add to your cleanser and claims to be just as good as cleansing brushes, containing ingredients such as oatmeal, bamboo stem powder, marine algae extract and jojoba beads.

Whether or not the EE cream will have the same impact as the other creams is a whole different story, we’ll have to wait and see.
