Jessica Lowndes is the new face of the Lipsy fragrance, Glam

Why did you want to become the face of the new Lipsy London Glam fragrance?

I've been a huge fan of Lipsy for years, I've worn their dresses to red carpet event, I've worn their clothes around town so when they asked me to be the face of the fragrance I was incredibly flattered because I love the brand, and their clothes and accessories. It's such an honour for a celebrity fronting the brand and on top of that it smells incredible.

So tell us what the fragrance smells like.

It has gorgeous fruity tones, apricot and cherry but then there's also jasmine and black incense which makes it romantic and sexy at the same time. I know scents are entirely subjective but I love anything that smells sweet and I think this fragrance works well for both daytime and night time, so that was a big appeal for me too.

Applying fragrance can be as subjective as choosing the scent, how do you like to apply your fragrance?

I usually put it on right after I get out of the shower so it sinks into your skin really well. I like dabbing it on my wrists and behind my ears. I'm a huge fan of spritzing it in my hair as well because I feel that it makes the scent last longer.

You've expressed your love for Lipsy clothing, why do you love wearing this brand?

They just fit perfectly and they're awesome go-to dresses and they have amazing styles. I love how they're feminine, effortless and chic and I always feel that way when I'm wearing their clothes.

What other beauty items would we find in your kit?

I'm a huge fan of Chanel mascara, their Vitalumiere foundation. I love the Benefit bronzer Hoola, which is great for contour and adding a little shimmer to your face. YSL concealer hides a multitude of sins too.

Jessica Lowndes looks beautiful with waved hair

You've worked with plenty of make-up artists over the years, have you picked up any tips off them?

Less is definitely more. If I'm going to do a smokey eye I'll wear a nude lip and if I'm going to do colour on the lip I just like to go natural on the eye. It's all about choosing just one feature to accentuate.

What is your go-to beauty look for glamour?

I like to switch it up. I definitely love the smokey eye look and I love rocking waves in my hair. That makes me feel very sexy.

How do you look after your glowing, clear skin?

I drink lots of water; I'm all about water it really makes your skin glow. I always take my make-up off before bed and I have quite a strict regimen, I cleanse, exfoliate and add a good moisturiser before bed and then wash my skin again in the morning.

Does your diet affect your skin and how it's looking?

It definitely does, yes. Stress too, everything can affect your skin. Hormones and things like that which are obviously out of your control. I have days were I break out as well, but I try to maintain a healthy lifestyle and eating lots of green veggies definitely helps with the appearance of your skin.

Your hair is incredibly glossy and healthy, what hair tips do you have to share with us?

I like to do a conditioning mask every once in a while, especially if I'm out in the sun a lot. I'm a big fan of the Kerastase products and they've got some great leave-in conditioners.

90210 comes to an end at the end of this season, how sad was it filming the final scenes?

It was really difficult because I've grown up on this show, these are my TV family and we done 115 or so episodes together so it was definitely really sad and very emotional. It was such a weird feeling cleaning out my trailer. But it was also exciting because it was moving on to a new chapter of all of our lives and I know that we're bonded for life because of the experience of that show. I'm also really excited to see what everyone does next.

Are you happy with the final ending for Adriana?

I'm really happy and I think that the fans are going to be really pleased too. The finale was definitely a tear jerker but I love how it ended.

Moving on to the next things, will you be sticking with acting or would you like to carve out a singing career?

Well since finishing the show I've done two movies, I finished a comedy called Larry Gaye: Renegade Male Flight Attendant which is about a gay flight attendant and it's hysterical and the cast was incredible. And I just recently got back from a six-week shoot in Malaysia and that was for a movie called Eden which is a survivor thriller. I've been in the studio too recording music and I've been working with Randy Jackson in LA and he's such a great mentor setting me up with different producers and then just writing as much as possible. I want to be really proud of the stuff that I put out there. I'm doing music right now, but there are some other film projects in the works. I just want to do something that I'm passionate about and stuff that I believe in.

And we wish you all the luck in the world Jessica.
