Paula was presenting an award at the event

Paula Patton dazzled as she walked the red carpet at the Golden Globes.

The Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol wore one of the brightest gowns at the event. Her vibrant yellow strapless Monique Lhuillier gown was paired with barely there make-up, thankfully, and Kwiat jewellery and Jimmy Choo heels.

Her half-up, half-down hair do completed the look and didn't distract too much from her gown.

The sexy hair look was designed by leading celebrity stylist, Robert Steinken using Moroccanoil.

"The Monique Lhuillier gown looked beautiful on Paula, very movie star," says Robert.

"As a result, I envisioned a style with the sophisticated sexiness of Briggitte Bardot, but modern and sexy without looking retro. I also gave her a sleek, shiny and luminous look that was soft and full of movement.

"I parted the hair at the centre, added a bit of subtle volume at the crown, pulled the hair back close to the sides of the head, twisted it in back and let it flow down Paula's back in soft cascading waves."

To create the waves, Robert used a 1 inch curling iron, starting at the root and wrapping the hair around the iron in a spiral. He held each section for 15-20 seconds and then pinned the curl with a bobby pin and left it to cool.
