Paula Abdul

Paula Abdul

It's like the children's version of the Oscars, only less glamorous and with more gunge. Yep, it's that time of year again- The Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards are upon us once more.

Considering it's meant to be an event for children, we always get a massive adult turnout, all trying to be hip and cool, and of course failing miserably.

In an attempt to be 'down with the kids' their fashion choices leave a lot to be desired, and we had to sharpen our style claws especially last night, when we saw some of the outfits on display.

Paula Abdul, hang your head in shame. What were you thinking in this gothic/punk infused nightmare?! Honestly, we're heading into spring now and this look is sooo last season, not to mention, it's a style for a 16-year-old.

Granted you look fab for your age Paula, but that doesn't mean you have to raid Avril Lavigne's closet for fashion leftovers, in an attempt to work a trend which is far too young for you.

The ripped vest, pants and braces combo is just far too laid back and relaxed for an event of this kind; where the heck is the glamour factor?! We know you can do Paula- we've seen you on American Idol!

Don't even get us started on the accessories, because they just exemplify how bad this outfit is. The multiple, mismatched necklaces and fingerless gloves just make us want to cry with frustration- how can someone get it so wrong!?

Paula wasn't the only lady to commit a style crime last night, as next up in the style hall of shame is none other than Megan Fox, who we're normally championing for her fashion.

Well, her stylish run is over thanks to her boring fashion choice last night, which left us more than a little uninspired.

Maybe it's just the way she is posing here, but quite honestly her dressed down day look is totally unsuitable for an evening event.

To be fair, she wasn't the only one who didn't break out the ball gown, but that doesn't mean she shouldn't make any kind of effort.

This outfit looks like something we would wear to go shopping in, and the matching top and scarf is  just too safe and plain, when paired with the cropped leather jacket.

Megan is a gorgeous lady and no matter how bad an outfit this will never change, but that's what really annoys us because she chose to look this dowdy, when she could have blinged it up to the max in gorgeous couture.

And as for that strange Batman pose, we have no comment as to what the hell she was thinking there. Maybe she was thinking of flying away from the barrage of style criticism she'll no doubt be getting this morning...
