We picked our favourite gowns that took to the red carpet at the Golden Globes Awards yesterday, looking at the black gowns, the use of colour and metallic gowns, but today we look to the After Parties to find the best dressed amongst them.

And as you can expect there were some true delights to take to the red carpets.

Nikki Reed made a statement in a bold turquoise lace Monique Lhuillier Resort 2013 dress. The sweetheart neckline and front split add a sexy touch to this look, which she completed with on-trend silver metallic accessories. Nikki doesn't get half as much credit for her style choices as she does.

After attending the main event, Sofia Vergara also turned up for the Instyle and Warner Brothers after party and she changed into something  a little slinkier than earlier in the evening. The Modern Family actress showed off her enviable figure in a Zuhair Murad Fall 2013 couture gown, with plunging neckline and mermaid hemline. It's incredibly typical style of Sofia, but when you look this good wearing something like this, why change it?

One of our favourite fashionistas, Ashley Madekwe, was also at the same after party and she added a splash of colour via her Roksanda Ilincic tri-colour column dress. She ensured all eyes were on the dress with minimal accessories, make-up and a simple slicked back hairstyle. Most would find a dress like this difficult to wear, but not Ashley who carries it off with ease and grace.

Vanessa Hudgens turned up the glamour with her beaded plunging Giorgio Armani gown with backless detailing. Sultry smokey eyes and tumbling curls completed this look.

Hailee Steifeld opted for an Andrew Gn black dress with bronze metallic detail. The sheer skirt adds a fun touch to this youthful look.

Diane Kruger also chose a black dress, wearing an Antonio Berardi Pre-Fall 2014 black satin gown with dramatic gold crystal-embroidered detailing. Wavy tresses and a Charlotte Olympia 'Cancer' clutch completed this flawless look from the actress.

Nina Dobrev, who hasn't got it wrong on the red carpet in a very long time, looked beautiful wearing an off-the-shoulder black fitted Giorgio Armani silk dress. Large crystal detailing embellished the sweetheart neckline and she added a pop of colour via her red clutch. Long may this style streak continue.

At the HBO Golden Globes after party Jamie Chung revved up the sex appeal wearing a Julien Macdonald lace dress with plunging neckline and central split. Jamie kept it on the right side of sexy with a playful pink lip and swept back hairdo completing the gorgeous look.

Finally, Laura Vandervoort channelled Blake Lively in her Rachel Gilbert gown at the NBC/Universal Golden Globe after party. The dress she chose bore a striking resembelence to the Zuhair Murad number the Gossip Girl actress wore to the Savages LA premiere. Laura pulled her hair back and added some sparkling jewels to complete the look.
