Duchess Catherine has shown off incredible maternity style

After a long day yesterday, we welcomed the birth of Prince William and Duchess Catherine's new baby son to the world at 4.24pm. Congratulations to the happy couple.

And to celebrate the birth we've taken a look back at Catherine's most stylish maternity choices and picked our top five outfits.

Throughout the pregnancy Catherine retained her personal style, looked comfortable in what she was wearing and managed to give us a glimpse of her growing baby bump - even though she barely looked pregnant at times.

How on earth there was an 8lb 6oz baby in her tiny frame we'll never know.

Duchess Catherine looks beautiful in Mulberry

The green tweed Mulberry coat she wore to the National Review of Queen's Scouts at Windsor Castle in April was perfectly twee, stylish and cute.

The coat from the Spring 2013 collection feaured oversized patch pockets, frayed edges and gold flower buttons. She wore a complimentary green dress underneath which was barely visbible as she walked around.

She paired the cute look with her favourite nude accessories.

Prince William and Duchess Catherine

More recently in June, the Duchess was pictured at Westminster Abbey with her husband for the 60th Coronation of the Queen.

She stuck to her favourite muted colours on this occasion wearing a high-waisted daisy lace gown, which fell over her bump and then layered it with a cream coloured Jenny Packham jacket.

A veiled fascinator and more nude accessories completed another simple, but beautiful look from her.

We love her bright Tara Jarmon coat

On this occasion Kate managed to inject some bright colour into her look via her peach Tara Jarmon coat over a pastel-coloured dress.

This is definitely a standout look from the Duchess and it just proves that bright colours suit her as much as her favoured neutrals.

Full curly locks were favoured to her famous bouncy blow dry here, and we love the look too. Here she was at the Naomi House children’s hospice in Sutton Scotney to mark Children’s Hospice week in May.

Duchess Catherine impresses in a Toshop dress

The Duchess is definitely a lady after our own hearts and when she stepped out wearing a Topshop spotted dress for the Inauguration of Warner Bros/ Studios Leavesden in Watford for the famous Harry Potter tour she definitely proved it.

It seems Kate enjoys a high street bargain too.

As you can imagine this dress went on to sell out fairly quickly, and the simple style and staple spot print ensure it will be in plenty of women’s wardrobes for years to come.

This stunning Emilia Wickstead dress was our favourite of the bunch

Finally, our favourite maternity look from Duchess Catherine.

The highly flattering Emilia Wickstead pale blue dress she wore in April to the National Portrait Gallery.

The colour made her pregnancy skin glow even further.

Without a shadow of a doubt our favourite outfit from the Duchess.

Which was yours?
