New “Ted” EP - European tour - twisted “Ted” video - and more!Ted EP Release date: 5th March 2007In early October 06 CLARK released BODY RIDDLE, to the acclaim of fans and converts alike. Here is what some had to say about itPlan B:“…It’s Clark’s album that really astonishes. Razor sharp percussion, subtle approach to melody and a loose, almost live feel to the whole thing add up to what might be one of the finest home-grown electronic albums this year.”Pitchforkmedia.com:“Clark continues to mine his ominous perfectionism with increasingly spectacular ends. Finely hewn and paced, Body Riddle ebbs and flows, following an internal logic that's condensed, myriad, and unpredictable.”Drowned in Sound 9/10: “Clark’s latest voyage to the centre of a place more amazing than your never-dared-dream fantasy, is a divine delight from start to finish.

In keeping with the spirit of evolving Body Riddle, Clark has come back with the richly textured Ted EP and salutes Body Riddle in doing so. For this is an EP partly made up of reinterpretations, playing on and extending tracks from the album and offering psychedelic parallels. The title track Ted comes with an excellent remix reminiscent of the otherworldly Durutti Column by lauded producer Bibio, sometime resident on the respected Mush records and who’s fans include Boards of Canada amongst other music cognoscenti. The popularity of this remix has in fact been road tested; it was a download exclusive for one week on Rough Trade’s much hyped brand new digital website roughtradedigital.com, and the number of downloads far exceeded expectation!

Alongside the audio release of Ted is a sinisterly engrossing video produced by the achingly hip 1st Avenue Productions (past campaigns include MTV, Adidas and various music projects). Akin to watching David Attenborough on hallucinogenics, this video will debut online exclusively on pitchforkmedia.com.

And to top it off, accompanying these treats Clark will be embarking on a grand UK and European tour between February and April ‘07, and has drafted in a drummer to give his already invigorating live show an extra dimension. As a testament to the strength of his live show, Clark, since touring Body Riddle has been invited to play with some noteworthy musicians including Comets on Fire, Tortoise and LFO as well as with Battles, James T. Cotton and Jamie Lidell at the recent Warp/Bleep.com extravaganza in NYC. Please see below for details of his UK headline shows.

And check out www.throttleclark.com. Not only an information site, Throttleclark.com is an avenue for Clark to channel his hyper-active creative output, making available to the public free downloads of non-album tracks including a collaboration with Broadcast, “Herr Barr (Reinterpretation/Improvisation)”. If the 3” Throttle series are anything to go by (limited off the cuff gifts that have been available sporadically in the last year and a half), these website tracks will most certainly stand up to the high standard set by his formal releases. With the success of Body Riddle gaining mileage like an indomitable sleeper train as well as a constant turnover of high quality material, Clark’s success seems assured.
