Rock legends return with first new album in five yearsAtlantic Records UK today announced the release of Snakes & Arrows, the highly anticipated new studio album from Rush and the renowned rock trio's first new collection of original material in nearly five years. Snakes & Arrows will be released in the UK on Monday April 30th (US release date is Tuesday May 1st).The album's first single, Far Cry, is a digital only release in the UK, through Atlantic Records on April 16th.Snakes & Arrows was recorded in the fall of 2006 with Grammy Award-winning producer Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Velvet Revolver) with Rush co-producing. Since releasing their self-titled debut album in 1974, Rush have been universally regarded as one of the most inventive and exciting groups in rock, famed for Lee, Lifeson, and Peart's virtuoso musicianship, epic soundscapes, and dramatic lyricism. The band's extraordinary body of work – which includes such acclaimed albums as 2112 (released in 1976), Moving Pictures (1981), Test for Echo (1996) and Vapor Trails (2002) – has achieved worldwide sales exceeding 35 million units.

Rush celebrate the release of Snakes & Arrows with the announcement of a world tour, including six UK arena dates - the band's first since 2004's "An Evening with Rush: 30th Anniversary Tour."
