Audrey Hepburn’s iconic little black dress will be auctioned at Christie’s in London on 5th December.

The Givenchy dress, which Hepburn wore to play Holly Golightly in ‘Breakfast At Tiffany’s’, is one of the most potent images in fashion history.

The dress’s sale estimate is £50,000 to £70,000 but experts believe that it will go for many times that amount.

Hubert de Givenchy has donated the dress from his own personal collection to raise money for the City of Joy Aid Charity.

Givenchy told the Evening Standard:" I am so pleased to be helping this beautiful foundation. I was having dinner with Dominique Lapierre (who founded the charity) and I told him I had one beautiful piece that I would give to him with pleasure. I was sure Audrey would be very happy about it."
