Carine Roitfeld left French Vogue after ten years at the helm

Carine Roitfeld's new magazine has left us with a lot to speculate about and she's now finally gave us the name of her new venture.

CR Fashion Book is to be a new quarterly magazine.

"The names not a big surprise, but oh well," Roitfeld told WWD.

She went on to describe the publication as a "celebration of fashion and creativity."

Carine explains that she has enlisted the help of well known players in the fashion industry as well as those who are up and coming, providing a new platform for new talent.

After ten years at the helm of French Vogue, Carine stepped down to pursue new ventures, most notably helping to style Chanel shoots with Karl Lagerfeld. But she's not at all delusioned as to how this magazine will impact.

"Vogue is a very beautiful magazine, an institution, and I learned so much working there. You can't put yourself into competition with a magazine like Vogue; you have to create something new, something different."

The magazine is set to have an online presence too, focusing on art, culture and fashion which will not be present in the print version.
