Erin O'Connor is facing the campaign for #bidboutique from Save the Children, the first-ever online designer boutique auction in conjuction with both eBay and The British Fashion Council.

The auction begins today, the start of London Fashion Week

Save the Children ambassador Erin O’Connor said: "It’s a great cause and the proceeds will help stop the needless deaths of children in the poorest countries around the world. Please get behind the #bidboutique – you can grab a piece of beautiful designer fashion and do your bit to help save a child's life."

Offering an exclusive mix of the hottest fashion and accessories for autumn/winter 2012 and one-of-a-kind celebrity donations, #bidboutique will be your chance to join the fashion fraternity as they battle it out to win the best of British fashion.

Fresh from the catwalk and wardrobes' of A-list stars and designers, items donated include an Alexander McQueen gold clutch, Piers Atkinson pill box hat, Jasper Conran wrap dress, Temperley lace dress,  Jimmy Choo bag and Mawi necklace. 

The auction starts on Tuesday 13 September and ends on Sunday 23 September 2012. For those who want a sneak peek – simply book your tickets now for the Vodafone London Fashion Weekend between 20 and 23 September – where an exclusive pop-up Born to Shop Bid Boutique installation will showcase the best picks.

Rosie Shannon from Save the Children, said: “The Born to Shop #bidboutique online auction is part of our No Child Born to Die campaign to stop the needless deaths of more than 7.6 million children every year. With the money raised from the auction, we will be able to deliver life saving aid to children in some of the world’s poorest countries.”

The No Child Born to Die campaign aims to stop children dying from basic illnesses like pneumonia and diarrhoea because they can’t get the treatment they need. All proceeds from Born to Shop #bidboutique will help fund Save the Children’s life-saving work around the world.

The online auction starts on Tuesday 13 September and closes on Sunday 23 September.
