Jennifer Lawrence in Prabal Gurung

Jennifer Lawrence in Prabal Gurung

After much anticipation The Hunger Games is getting ready to hit our screens and with that comes the huge premiere in LA last night.

Jennifer Lawrence, star of the film, looked absolutely stunning in her gold lame gown.

The blonde beauty chose a Prabal Gurung Fall 2012 gown for her big night and it was most certainly the right decision. No one was going to upstage her in this dress, even though some did try. Yes, Kalia Prescott we're looking at you.

It featured cut-out details and an open back, which was showcased perfectly with her loose up-do.

There is actually a thigh high split on the gown, which you can't see on many of the images becase she doesn't awkwardly have her leg protuding out, Angelina Jolie we're looking at you here.

Sultry, smoky eyes finished this beautiful look.

Miley Cyrus was also at the event supporting her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, who also stars in the film.

Her Emilio Pucci Spring 2012 ensemble instantly brought back memories of Gwyneth Paltrow's same designer two-piece she wore to the Emmy Awards last year.

Whilst Miley doesn't attempt to take the shine off the leading lady, she still looks stunning.

The black mesh beaded bustier and black high-waisted organza skirt with beaded appliqués show off her perfectly toned figure, without looking to brash.

Her simple make up again stop the look from going overboard. Wavy ombre tresses and a simple selection of jewels complete this beautiful look.

Elizabeth Banks was also on the black carpet, she appears in the film as Effie Trinket.

Her beautiful Atelier Versace Spring 2012 dress is the perfect look for this event, as it references the book.

Her bright orange mini has cut-out designs on the back and she paired it with some questionable Jimmy Choo wedges. But seen as they're nude they don't distract from the stunning detail of the dress.

Fresh make-up ensured that the actresses was glowing.

Which is your favourite out of the three?
