Karl Lagerfeld

The row over fat versus thin in the model world has erupted again

Top designer Karl Lagerfeld has thrown his weight, (forgive the pun) behind the 'thin' look slamming those who cry out for curvy catwalk strutters and labelling them "fat mummies".

The designer Karl Lagerfeld adds those concerned over stick thin models in the fashion world of being of simply not failing to face up to their own weight issues.

The whole subject started when a German magazine stated that it would no longer use models in it's photographs and would use "real women" instead.

They were fed up of adding curves to stick thin waifs in an effort to make them look like the majority of the German population.

So who is right is Karl correct in accusing the detractors of being tubby mummies in denial as they head of toward obesity and health problems, or is the designer only capable of designing for the unreal and the manufactured unhealthy girl on her way to a similarly unhealthy malnutrition and anorexia.

Or are both sides in the debate missing the point... Your call
