Can we both look fabulous and feminine and help more bears return to the wild? Yes, because the creative young women from nümph now design this summer’s It item, a top in pure organic cotton. The entire profits go to WSPA, the international animal protection organization, working among other things for bears' right to a decent life.

Despite the fact that Winnie the Pooh, Paddington Bear, and Baloo from the Jungle Book bring out a winning smile, many real bears live a very sad life.

Nümph-design manager Nanett Schrøder, whose animal prints have included owls, dogs, elephants, and now bears said: "When we saw the horrific pictures of bears being exploited or held captive under miserable conditions, we at nümph knew immediately that they need our support. We love animals and are often inspired by animals and nature when designing our collections."

The bear-top is in 100% natural-dyed organic cotton, and the design features two wild bears in a small forest, in nümph's characteristic graphic style. Even the colours are inspired by bear life: honey-coloured trees and a berry-coloured heart in just the right place.

Fortunately there are people with the heart and will to fight for all the bears in the world to have a life as close as possible to the one they are born to: life in wild nature amidst the bees, bushes and berries of the forests, and near roaring rivers, rich in salmon.

Gitte Buchhave, director of WSPA Nordic, is thrilled with the support from nümph: "It is wonderful that the designers have really thought the top through in both theme and colours and have produced it in organic cotton.

"We really appreciate the support and gaining so many ambassadors for these animals. Everywhere in the world animals are dependent on us people, for good and bad, and if just one animal suffers it is one too many. They can't choose for themselves and therefore we humans bear an extra responsibility to ensure that animals all over the world have a decent life."

And of course the funky little girls mustn't miss out on being bear-smart, so mini-nümph launches a similar top for the 2-8 year-olds.
