It looks like even Hollywood is not safe from the recession as news reaches us that in the new Sex and the City film one of our favourite fashionistas is set to suffer money troubles.
The sequel, which is due out next May will see Kim Cattrall's character Samantha Jones struggle to keep up her designer lifestyle.
A source told MSNBC: "The proposed story line for Samantha will be her having to downsize her big-spending life after some of her investments get wiped out. You will see her having to survive on a more modest budget but still staying true to her fabulous taste."
We're quite looking forward to see her trying to do glam on a budget. Maybe the girls will be swapping Jimmy Choo stores for charity stores and vintage shopping.
Samantha may not be the only one in financial trouble though. Another planned storyline will see Sarah Jessica Parker's character Carrie Bradshaw and her husband Big loose all their money and move to London.
Perhaps we'll even see Carrie wearing Topshop and Miss Selfridge this year! We can only hope!
