The 31-year-old fashion designer has come up with two labels - one white and one black with a blown-up barcode - to feature on the mineral water producer's latest bottles.

Evian's global brand director, Laurent Houel, told WWD: "Mineral water is about everyday consumption but [also] premium dimensions with the iconic glass bottle. That's something that's close to Alex's universe. He's also about everyday fashion that's accessible and approachable, but with a very strong design integrity, so we really feel it's a great match in terms of the spirit between brands."

This is the first time Alexander, who has teamed up with H&M previously, has collaborated with a beverage company.

Meanwhile, Evian, which sources its natural mineral water from the French Alps, has joined forces with talents in the fashion world a total of nine times in the past.

Evian X Alexander Wang will come in glass (33cl, 75cl) and Prestige PET (33cl, 50cl), and will launch at the designer's spring fashion show and after-party in Paris.

The unique bottles will also be distributed in a range of hotels, retailers and restaurants later this month.

Alexander added: "We don't just live with clothes and shoes. We sit on furniture. We go to restaurants. We drink. We eat.

"To be able to take our brand and expand into lifestyle and work with partners that have perfected what they do is something I learn so much from and really stimulates me."
