The 33-year-old model - who has fronted campaigns for luxury fashion brands Christian Dior, Givenchy, Chloé and Jimmy Choo - has admitted she puts a "spritz" the back of her knees with fragrance if she is wearing a skirt, as well as in her hair so the scent lingers long after she has left the room.

Speaking to MarieClaire.co.uk about her beauty hacks, the blonde beauty said: "My favourite perfume trick is to spritz it behind my knees if I'm wearing a skirt or in my hair so it leaves a cloud behind me when I leave a room."

Meanwhile, Anja - who was crowned the face of the Kérastase Visions of Style II campaign in April this year - has admitted she feels liberated when she cuts her hair, and will occasionally chop her locks herself.

She explained: "Hair is such an emotional thing, it holds so many memories. Cutting off your hair can give you a new lease of life, a new energy!

"I love changing my look with a hair dye or cut. There's no point being precious about it because it grows back - sometimes I just decide to grab a pair of scissors and chop it myself!

"I don't wash my hair often. I usually I let the natural oils moisturise the hair but when I do I always use the Kérastase Resistance Masque Force.

"The best thing to do is go to a steam room and put your hair mask on whilst you're in there. It really helps your hair absorb all the moisture."

And the catwalk icon has revealed she has used hairspray and moustache wax to stiffen her eyebrows.

She said: "Eyebrows are so important to me. I don't use gel or powder though just a bit of hairspray on an eyebrow brush to make them really nice and stiff. I've even tried using moustache wax!"
