Giorgio Armani admits that he’s very controlling when it comes to his fashion shows as he wants it to be perfect.

The designer has a very hands-on approach to his brand and he likes to oversee every detail.

And whilst Fashion Week may be a very stressful time, he likes to avoid the hysteria and keep on top of things.

Speaking to Grazia magazine he said: "I try to avoid hysteria. For me, each show is a great thrill, almost like the first time.

"Meeting my team and organising the final details certainly helps me relieve stress. We’re very organised so there are rarely any issues .And this is something very soothing. But I'm always excited."

And whilst he’s been working in the fashion industry for many, many years, he started his company in 1975, he knows that for a perfect show it all comes down to planning.

He continued: "The day before the fashion show is the most intense and frantic time, during which everything has to come together.

"I'm a perfectionist and I like to control every aspect of the show, so I do a tremendous amount of work backstage.

"I'm passionate about the whole process leading up to the show, from the choice of music that sets the pace to the hairstyles and make-up that emphasise the mood and inspiration.

"The show has to be perfect and the details are crucial, the last 24 hours are essential. Everything is finalised from the exit order to the final fitting."

And what a show he always puts on.
