Jenny Packham feels "proud" her business is still going.

The Duchess of Cambridge's favourite designer - who is known for her bridal gowns and ready-to-wear collections - set up her company 25 years ago with her husband Matthew Anderson, and she admits she's surprised her label is still selling out.

She told The Telegraph newspaper: "I'm very proud that we're still in business actually, because it's tough and because Matthew and I, and everyone else, have worked very hard.

"I feel that we're in business because we picked something quite niche to do. At Saint Martins, to want to be an evening wear or bridal wear designer was not cool."

The 48-year-old designer recently celebrated a successful milestone in the industry by hosting a series of free catwalk shows, open to the public at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

Jenny previously said: "I wanted to do something to celebrate the 25th anniversary - it has really felt like a celebration, we're so proud of what we've achieved. And it was also a great chance to show in London.

"It's nice to be able to have the whole team here - normally I can only take a few to New York."

The fashionista - who has dressed the Duchess of Cambridge, Angelina Jolie, Kate Winslet and Jennifer Lopez - admits she loves dressing stars, but has ruled out showing at London Fashion Week anytime soon as she feels New York City is more appropriate.

She said: "I think, at the moment, New York seems right for us - in terms of business and our brand. And of course there's the Hollywood link too, which is doing very well for us.

"So I think that's where we'll stay for now. But London would certainly be more convenient!"
